Accumulated a large debt between student loans and others

I need to take some of this stress off my back as I begin to start my "adult life". I just finished my MBA and have accumulated a large debt between student loans and all the things that come with paying for school. I owe approximately 36,000 in student loans which I am not sure you can help with and about 2000 in credit card debt. I also owe $140 on a cell phone and about $250 in other bills, thus bringing the grand total to 38.390. I am losing my job in November and I want to start relieving this stress before that one starts. Can you help? Please?!

Thank you,
Cate

Congrats on that accomplishment though, I'm working on my Masters right now, too!
I think that "overqualified" phrase is sooo underrated!
But you know the saying, "When a window closes..." there's probably the perfect job out there waiting on you! 8)

Was that a "graduate" student loan?
Don't they usually wait a few months before you have to pay it back?

You spent so much of money in doing your MBA. This has also put you in some debts now. Because of this, don't compromise for any job that pays you less. Try to get a job that helps you in getting the returns. This country has a big market. You have to place yourself in the perfect avenue and you are qualified for this. Don't lose your patience at a sudden setback. For your existing debts, consolidation is a good option. It will only sound helpful in your way.

Hi Cate,

I wish I could trade you places (my job for your MBA :-) Don't worry, there are several lines of work you can gain with an MBA and zero experience. (Project Management, Business Management, Process Streamlining, etc). Try finding a company that does Corporate to Collegiate outreach programs (I know Kaiser Permanente and AT&T have these programs, at least it can get you in the door). Good luck, I hope you land your job soon.
