Yeah, but what ya gonna do? The world is made up of all types of people. And I have to say my whole self esteem and worth is based on what guests come on here and post. Because ya see, as a low life, I reckon I ain't got no type of life so to speak of. Ya know, so it hurts, it hurts real bad when guests come on here and call all us ya'll low lifes.

So I am a low-life in your eyes and in your opinion. Say what you like; then ask me if your words concern me. Pass your judgment on me - it matters not.
I don't associate with people of your thinking. You are out there with you elitist attitude, believing that somehow you are better than the rest of us. The fact is - you don't know me, nor do you know a single person around here. You act the way you act, and you say what you say, because you lack many things. You don't have the ability to look past your self centered viewpoint and really see people. You have a hardened heart and a narrow mind. From them, you perceive people to be inferior to you, when the simple act of thinking that makes you less then us.
I feel sad for you. I really do. To have such a mindset keeps you from real joy and real life. All you must have in your life are inanimate objects, void of souls and void of love. You serve money, and in that, you sacrifice your being.
I'll stick to being a low life.

That is a very incorrect statement.
Desperate is trying to get their life in order. They are being debited to the ends of the earth for a PDL that is more than likely more than satisfied. Closing the bank account will protect the money for basic needs like housing and food. Then, through contact with the PDL, they can determine what debt remains and pay it.
Now, if this person is attempting to do this, a reputable company will still contact them to get their money. And if they still owe, desperate has the obligation to make good on the money and not steal.
Ripping off the system is NOT promoted here. It is frowned upon.

Well said Jedi Jeff!
If certain companies operating legitimately then maybe there wouldn't be problems like this.
"Ripping of the system" - what a hypocritical comment that was "Guest". More like illegally collection agencies trying to rip "people" off of improper amounts without valid documentation to backup there boggus attempts of extorting money from people.
Get your facts straight before you come on here and preach.

I have gotten the notion that some (meaning a small fraction of unregistered users) people find this site and don't intend on paying back their original loan because they found out it was illegal in their state. The vast majority of users here just want to have their accounts marked PIF as they have paid umpteen dollars more that the original loan plus LEGAL interest.
I am glad to have found this site!!

I agree. And that is wrong. Being that they are illegal in some states, the person must pay back the original principle of the loan. Otherwise, they are stealing. Because the loan company does not follow the state's law, they can only recover that money. Interest is not allowed.

Apparently you are one that just likes to make comments and avoids giving answers. I can see this one going in circles so I am not going to waste my valuable time playing your little mind games.
You certainly do talk the talk of previous postings from the people at the infamous "law office" and have many similiarities - very clear observation.

Guest, thanks for pointing out that the information to "get out" of a debt that is owed is here. There's no denying it... but honestly, what goes around comes around. If you get out of it one way, you'll pay for it another way....

Unfortunately there is good and bad in this world. I think you'd be surprised to know how many people actually read this, and other similar forums looking for ways out, rather than the support they were designed to give. I mean no disrespect when I say you're all nieve to believe otherwise.
I recognize that you are trying to do good here, but this site has helped many to be immoral (if you will moderator)
I personally know people that have enlisted some of the advise posted on this very forum to get out of paying back monies owed. To both PDL companies and others.
Hey guest - I hear you and agree. And as I said, shame on them.
Hey guest - I hear you and agree. And as I said, shame on them.
I for one have never walked away from a debt I owed. I have fought for payment arrangements and fair fees, but I pay them all. I have had a few phone calls from companies that have try to scare me into paying them for fraudulent debt. Those I will not pay.
It all balances out. If you skirt the law one place, it will catch you somewhere else. That is just my opinion.
Paul Kupferstein and Associates
I have received a similar message on my phone the last three days. I have been paying my debts on time and my credit report is clean. Do these people only prey on those that are behind on payments, or are they now targeting others?
If I'm not a victim of identity theft, how the heck did they get my phone number?

Someone from Paul Kupferstein and Associates. They gave a case number, with the usual "Call immediately/within 48 hours/within 24 hours to avoid litigation."

Irritated - unless you live in Markham, ignore these people. They are junk debt buyers, and pretty much have no right to collect debt anywhere. They are definitely not licensed in and state in the United States. And I am not to sure of their legal right to collect in Canada. They violate the debt collection laws of the US and Canada on a regular basis.
Lowest of the low, they are. Take the time to do your own research, since they will tell you nothing of the "company that contracted them to collect", though they supposedly have all you information in front of them. Keep making right on your debts and let them eat voice mail. Until they send you a verification letter, they can't do squat. And you can ask until you are blue in the face - they will never, ever send you proof of the debt.

I don't know how many times I was told they were sending the papers OR they will see me in court OR they were serving me at work OR I have to pay a certain dollar amount which apparently they drew out of the clouds, etc, etc, etc. This has been going on for over 2 years for me. They harrass you for a couple weeks straight and then you never hear from them again for a long time in hopes that you might forget who they are and pay them whatever they ask. Boggus firm who buy debts or tries to illegitimately collect on a boggus debt that doesn't even exist.
Don't pay any mind to them like Jedijeff said, they are con artists and just prey on weak people with their idle EMPTY threats.

Jedi, don't go spreading lies. You know better. If this company contacted you it's becasue you owe someone (a company) money. Remember a con artist is the one who owes, not the one attempting to recover!
Good point made by Irritated, "If I'm not a victim of identity theft, how the heck did they get my phone number?" How do you think they got your number? Perhaps it was forwarded to them by the company that you neglected to pay back.
You all make me laugh. I know you are all inocent and don't owe any one any money. Honest, these bad people just called me out of the blue I don't know how they even got my number I don't owe anyone anything. I'm a good person, they are bad.......Bla, bla, bla.

I have some files with this Law Office, and they've done a great job for me. Some of my clients were trying to rip me off, and this company got some of the money that was owed to me back. Keep up the great work!!!

I'm not trying to CON anyone. My credit report is clean, and I've neglected NOTHING. I've never set foot in a payday loan office, nor has anyone in my household dialed a 900 number. I'm simply trying to find out if these people are simply criminals, or if I truly have had my identity stolen.
Like most people, I legitimately owe many people a great deal of money. It's called a mortgage and a car payment. I pay these on time. I'm not going to pay some con artist from another country for a debt that doesn't exist.
Why on earth would you post on this site then? Call this office

Spare me your sad attempts at looking clean, guest. And your fake attempts to make your company look good with the "they helped me out - great work!" pathetic post. I have time and time again shown proof of Kupferstein, Liability Solutions and "The Law Office" and their illegal activities. You have done nothing to prove otherwise.
If you are so on the up and up, can you tell me when I will be served with those court papers you threated? I mean, you said it would be Friday, and that was a Friday over 15 months ago. Why did you stop calling me back when I raised a question that I felt you guys were tying to rip me off? Where is that proof I requested that would show me your company was contracted to collect my debt? How come you don't have a license to collect debt in my home state?
And why am I asking questions you will never answer?
Hey Irritated - did they ever state what debt they were collecting? Think back - did you have any bogus charges written off by your phone company? 900 scam charges is the main SOP of this company. They buy up written off debt and attempt to strong arm payments from people through threats of court and jail. When in actuality, these people owe them nothing, for the debt was originally incurred in a fraudulent manner.
Hey guest - give me a call someday. I mean - you still have my file, right?
Yeah....that's what I thought.

Still waiting and waiting and waiting to be served!!!! Your words have not changed and are still repetitive, which is not surprising.
Irritated, don't loose a minute sleep on "Guests" comments, they are experts in talking the talk - the talk of threats and non sense. Don't fall for the scam.
"call out office", "we operate legimiately", "it is everyone else who are the scammers", blah, blah, blah. Try and come up with something new that we haven't heard before Guest - your attempts at collecting money where money is not due will not work here - you should know better by now.
