No longer feel like I am the only one

I have been feeling like I was the only one suffering from the PDL trap. After reading for several days other "real" people situations, I feel like there is now hope. I desperately need to get in touch with someone or T&C as I have read where some have had success with them. I currently have 5 PDL's. I am surprised to learn that each state has it limits to interests on these pdl's. I reside in NC and very iterested in learning more on my rigths. I will pay my princible and legal interest. Just need help getting there. I have registered and await any response.

P.S. This site gives hope. Thank you so much!

Hi!

Welcome to the forums, You've come to the right place.

I know exactly how you feel..8 months ago I thought I was all alone in the payday cycle. Then I found this site, and it saved me. I'm now payday loan free, just like you will be. Browse the forums, there is a lot of interesting stuff to read, it's amazing how much you'll learn.

You'll get a call from a counselor soon, Probably after the weekend. They'll talk to you about a couple of different options and point you in the right direction.

Welcome to our family, we're glad to have you! Things are going to get much better quickly, I promise!

Thank you everyone for your support. I am taking back control of my life. I am in the process of switching Bank Accounts. Anyone have a letter format of the verbage I need to send these PDL's. I am going to abide by the law set by NC. On a side note, T&C cannot assist NC Residents due to either law or lic issues.

yn_robbie,

Welcome to the forums! You are not alone here when it comes to getting out the pdl trap. I was in your shoes when I came here in December. Since then, I have dug myself out of the trap with the help of the people here along with a good consolidation company. Now, I can return the favor to those who seek help in getting out of this debt cycle. I believe pdl's are illegal in NC. You may want to contact your AG's office to see what you can do about your situation. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress :)

Well, it has been almost 2 months since I first posted and as 1245p.m. today, I am PDL "FREE". I started writing complaint letters to the Attorney General. I also sent letters to the internet pdl companys with a copy of the Attorney Generals complaint letter. I also closed my checking account. Let me tell you within a week all calls stopped and I quickly started to receive a letters that although the they (the pdl companies) felt they were within their rights that they now consider my account paid in full and closed. And today I paid my last store front lender in full and will "NEVER, NEVER, NEVER" fall into this trap again. Everyone please take the advice of those that have gotten out of this ugly cycle. Take control of your life and don't let these lenders control you. I was in your shoes less that a month ago. Scared to answer the phone at work. Scared to answer my own home phone. I come home with nothing on my mind but bills and how was I going get through another pay check with -0 balance. I have learn that pdl companies count on these fears. Well, I made it out and so can you. I am taking my wife out for the first time in a long time for a three day getaway (with my money not the pdl's) I will keep reading these boards and I will help where I can.
P.S. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is beautiful!

I agree I have been called stupid by people for getting in this mess. As these same people think I am smart. How do we get in these situations? I am glad and sad that we all got stuck. I have worked out almost everything since August. So KEEP FIGHTING if you can't pay.

Close your bank acoount STAT and start over. Change banks too. They will find your bank account if you just switch!!!

I stood up and I feel great about it. You can too!
