If you have heard of them, have you had any dealings with them (good, bad or otherwise)? Did you contact them directly?!? How?!? Telephone?!? What telephone number?!? Mail? What address?!?

I have just recieved a summons from this company,I have no idea who they are.
they represent a credit card co.I have not used a credit card in approx.7years,I got into some financial problems and was late on payments,the card co charged me outrageous late fees,making it impossible to pay them.I tried to make arrangements,to no avail.They began harrassing me,so for the last 7yrs,I used an answering machine,and ignored them.
I am on social security and can not pay this.They have added interest and late fees,making it totally impossible to pay this,even if I do owe it.What should I do,I'm 71yrs old,I have no idea what to do can't afford an attorney or even bankruptcy.

what state are you in?when was the last payment on this made?first thing i would do is check with your court clerk to see if suit was filed.if so answer it.ask the clerk for help or if you have any questions.for the most part SS income is exempt from garnishment and/or judgement.
