Also, go through the fdcpa laws and educate yourself when you are contacted by a debt collector. Each company is bound to follow the federal laws when attempting collections on a particular customer.

Yes, I have also experienced issues related to my HSBC account that were sent to Corporate Receivables; these issue resulted from inadequate mailing, billing and collection practices by HSBC. They have been unwilling to even respond to my written concerns... they then sent the account to collection. These issues have been going on since Jan 2006...the impact to my credit file is alarming. I have filed complaints for both companies with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trades Commission, and the Consumer Credit Agencies looking for anyone who could help...I will further review the information forwarded by you...THANKS MUCH!
