19 years 11 months ago
Hi. I am totally new to this whole thing but my debt overall (with credit card/ auto loan) is about 25k. I DO NOT own a home ( i rent).. is it possible to still get a debt consolidation without owning home? And how do I go about finding a real, legit debt consolidation company ( not a fraud one) with low interest rates? Does anyone want to recommend for southern california? thanks so much

Which is worst for credit?? Consolidation vs Settlement.

19 years 11 months ago
I know how both work but which one is worst for your credit? I would think settlement would be worse becuase you're not paying the full amount...while in a debt consldiotion you are. ALso. In debt conslitiaton, is there a pre payment penalty? Meaning...can I pay MORE than the agreed upon monthly payment. (I might win the lotto soon, example)

Help!

19 years 11 months ago
Ok, so here is my issue. I have 8 credit cards. 4 are the regular (visa/MC) and 4 our store cards (gap/jcrew.) I am a total of roughly $8,000 in debt. My problem is that I have a hard time making minimum payments on 8 cards. I need to get them all onto one card, or consolidate them as best as possible. last june/july I was unemployed so I missed a couple of payments and really screwed up everything. I am still over my limit on a few of the cards because of it. So now that my credit score is tarnished, I can't get another card with a high enough limit to transfer all of them onto.

I need to consolidate my credit card bills. how?

19 years 11 months ago

Currently I do not have creditors hounding me but, at this rate it will not take long. I have talked with several loan sharks who wish for me to re-mortgage my home and use the equity value however; they want to loan me more money than what I need to consolidate. We own our home mortgage free and really do not wish to place a lien against the property only wish to consolidate and lower the i

Debt consolidation vs. debt settlement

19 years 11 months ago
Hi, I really need to get rid of my debt (don't we all!) Anyway, I was just about to sign up with a company before my boyfriend said to me that I don't want to sign up with a place that is going to settle with my creditors, for it will look bad on my credit. He said I want a place that is going to pay all my balances in full, and then I pay them back. Can you tell me how I find out companies that will pay my balances in full, or any other insight about this issue? I am just really confused now about what to do!

19 years 11 months ago
I am sure that many of you have heard recently that a database for DSW shoes had been hacked. Well, originally they thought the problem only affected 100,000 customers. Well, now the company realizes that the breach affected 1.4 million people in all of its stores. These thieves obtained critical information. This information included: credit card numbers, driver's license numbers, and bank account numbers.
