Negotiate Pd-In-Full w/ DCS
I have an opportunity to pay off this 8K monkey on my back. Of course, it is in default as so many are.
I am NOT the least interested in paying late fees or costs. Has anyone had any success with this DCS monster?

Federal loans are garanteed...so you will end up paying most of
Federal loans are garanteed...so you will end up paying most of the interest. Late fees were already capitalized into your balance when they paid your default claim. They will waive some to all of the collection fees and you will be 1099'd on whatever they waive. It will be marked settled...not paid in in full.
