hello all,
for some time i have been contemplating on whether to file for bancrupcy or not 1 i am not sure under what chapter to file under, 2 since i am married how does this affect my husband and his credit can i legally file sep without affecting him?

Meeting with several attornies was a big help for me & hubby -- the lawyer we settled on asked us questions about our current debt and assest to determine what chapter we would qualify under. Yes you can file for only your self - it will not effect his credit, but his income will be calculated to determine if you qualify for 7 or 13, etc.
