I have not had a job for three years and nove not filed any returns, can I file for bankruptcy

I don't know a whole lot about the bankruptcy process but I don't think the fact that you don't have tax returns would affect your eligibility. I would imagine you would be required to disclose your assets such as bank accounts and also any source of income.

It wouldn't hurt to talk to an attorney in your area who could offer you some specific advice and can tell you the next step.

You can still file for bankruptcy if you haven't worked. They would need the last 3 returns that you did file. Other than that, if you haven't worked or received ANY income from any source, (wages, unemployment, etc) you don't have to file, if you are self-employed, you have to file taxes if you make over $400.
