Judgements & BK

Do you know before a judgement is filed and if so do you have time to file for BK?
Also can you still file for BK if you have a judgement filed and get it included in the BK?
I have been trying to deal with these CC calls today explaining I am self employed, that I would like to make these payments but I can't right now. That I would like to work this out but with 6 creditors wanting a piece of the pie unless these companies dealt with me reasonably I would have to file for BK.
I just want to know how much time I have to deal with this. I guess I don't understand how all this judgment stuff works. I am buying a house but it is on contract so by rights I don't own this house now and won't for 29 more months.
