I just set up an arrangement with them. I took out a $300 loan in Nov. 2007 and have been paying them $90 every two weeks. I returned a phone call from them as I closed my account and my last payment didn't go through. He stated I owed $480. I'm like wait, the principal is only $300 and I've already paid you $1620, isn't there something we can do. He says well how about if we just pay the principal of $300. Not the best but better than nothing. He wanted to do a pre-paid debit card, I said no way the only way was moneygram, western union or money order. He agreed to moneygram and we set it up with the last payment being the end of Sept.
As I said, not the best but better than nothing. God, I can't wait till I am free and clear.............. I'm already thinking of a way to celebrate.
Thanks again everyone,
Diane

DLS - what state are you in? We need to find out if they are licensed to lend to residents of your state. If they are not, then I say you have overpaid them and don't owe them a dime.
Let's find out first if they are licensed and legal to lend in your state.

YES, I have definately overpaid. BUT, remember I'm in the stupid state of PA. The one whose eyes haven't been opened yet to PDL companies............ and they are legal in the state of Utah.

Legally speaking, she hasn't overpaid . . . Utah has no cap on interest that can be charged.

i had a loan with them before and if I remember that after 12weeks "renewing" the loan I had to start to pay down 50.00 every two weeks along with the fee. Why didn't that happen to you? I'm in PA also.

They never made me start paying on the principal. Who knows why these companies do what they do sometimes. Why somethings work for some and not others.

diane,
i know you have paid alot but considering PA laws and how horrible this company is, i think this is a victory. i know they're tough to work with and you did a good job congrats.
