Arbitration is a non-legal method used to attempt to resolve your debt with the use of a mediator. Basically you will get served by a court processor and summoned to court. You will plead your case and come to an agreement there. If you can not you will go your seperate ways again and they will continue to pursue you for the money you owe.Now...as for the bottomr statement. What that means is that they will not pursue you legally. Meaning they can not sue you in the state of NY for your debt. But that does not mean they can not go forward on the debt and continue to call you to get this resolved. The way to best resolve this ultimately is obviously pay them. But if you can not afford to pay the balance in full (BIF) then pursue a settlement. Often times they will give you a settlement of 70% or so. Rarely lower depending on the client, in your case, circuit city. I would take 70% and work on monthly payments with that balance. | |

They are debt collectors for macys. I as well agree that they are rude and unprofessional. They are unwilling to work with you are there terms are unreasonable. | |
