It was just over a year ago when I arrived here as a refugee from a place called Paydayloania. I washed ashore on this site and found the people to be a concerned, helpful and warm family that took me in, cleaned me up and invited me to join them. I did not hesitate to take up my roll in helping others who arrived as scared and confused as I. I found it very rewarding to be able to touch other lives in a positive way and hopefully make a difference. I only know of one person where that was realized and she is a good friend today and was made moderator at the same time as myself, but I am sure there were a couple more.
My time was not as limited back then and I could come and go on the site as freely as required. That changed recently when it became more difficult to find the time aside from my lunch hour at work. As new people came to the site I found the 90 minute window I had was getting, as I have said earlier, like an overcrowded swimming pool with no room to swim. People were competing to answer the guests first and very often duplicate answers were posted. At that point I decided to spend the time reading posts and deleting, editing and correcting in the topics to which I was assigned. Then the moderators were given universal jurisdiction. The window had now became cloudy again as there were several mods on at that time. I saw no more reason for me to remain.
It is, for what I have stated above, that I have decided to leave the site and, as JFK once said, “pass the baton to a new generation.” I think that it is fitting that I should do this in
order to keep this as a forum to help others with well thought out and factual answers and not a competition to answer quickly as possible.
I have also seen an increase in a lack of team work among some of the members which is exacerbated by an occasional personal attack or a PM to someone complaining about or criticizing another member. This puts the recipients of such a message in a very awkward situation. I have been both the recipient of such messages and the target of some. Those were from people I supported and considered friends.
What I have said, coupled with my recent disillusionment with management, which I have discussed with the other moderators in detail, has led to my decision to leave the site and pursue other endeavors on that short lunch hour.
In conclusion I would like thank all of you, who have helped and supported me on my stay here, from the deepest confines of my heart. Please try to work together as a team to serve the people who look desperately for your advice and comfort. Please refrain from showing anything negative to the guests who need only positive influences in their lives at a very difficult time. I will be watching!

You will definitly be missed. I have enjoyed our few converstations we have had and I thank you for all your help. Please do keep in touch. Know that you are wished all the best and do hope you pop in once in a while to say hello.

Obviously I understand your situation, and I hate it so much!!
I hope things change. I know that you and I will stay friends and we'll be arguing like crazy this coming NFL season, but I still wish you were going to be here!
I respect your decision, though, and I know it's best for you.
